Lard and Beeswax Candle

One notable characteristic about Kunekune pigs is they produce an abundance of lard. 150 years ago, lard was used for so many things such as cooking, soap making, greasing equipment, and candles! In our mission to waste nothing, Bethany renders the lard to make a non-toxic candle that you can feel safe to use in your home. The fat is rendered slowly to create a pure white lard. The lard is then combined combined with 100% pure beeswax to add a hint of sweet honey . No artificial ingredients or fragrances are used, and the wicks are lead free. All made by hand by Bethany. The jars are 8 ounces.
